MIPAS (Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding) was launched on 2002, on board the ENVISAT satellite platform. The instrument was operational from ___ until the ENVISAT platform ceased transmitting in March 2012. MIPAS observed in the microwave and thermal IR (4.15 - 14.6 μm).
